AD 2036: Every strand of man’s once intricate web of civilization lies in ruins, crushed to the earth as if by the wave of some unseen leviathan’s hand. Those few human beings who remain alive in this wretched post apocalyptic dystopia have no idea what so suddenly plunged their world into chaos—winding the hands of progress back to the Dark Ages. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania: In what remains of the city, Nathan Moreno, a self-styled outcast, does what he can to get by and stay alive in the crumbling remains of his neighborhood; that is, until a mysterious stranger walks into his life, and begs him to undertake a quest to travel back twenty years into the past to prevent the dire series of events that wrought mankind’s destruction across the globe. When the name of Nathan’s enigmatic father, who he never knew, is invoked, he complies—unaware that the journey he has agreed to embark upon will thrust him into a harrowing adventure filled with time travel, romance, a vicious army of malevolent alien creatures hellbent on conquest of the Earth, and very probably, the destruction of the entire known universe by his own hands. Is it possible for one intrepid, if not foolhardy, loner to save the world, or is it more likely that through heedless intervention into the flow and rhythm of time and space, he will condemn all of known existence to the same perilous fate?
